Directors
A room for Stimpunks Directors to meet.
The directors
- Ryan Boren, President, Co-Founder, Co-Creative Director
- Chelsea Adams, Executive Director
- Norah Hobbs, Program Director
- Helen Edgar, Co-Creative Director
As our About page lists them, in its order and with its titles, read on 2026-09-29.
Talking
The channel and the call in here are for the base: people signed on at the Community Center with the moderators’ password. Anybody can come in and look around, and the radio waits outside the door for everybody else.
This browser is not signed on as the base, so the call in here is not yours to join. The base signs on at the front desk.
The call is run by 8x8’s Jitsi as a Service, and the server hands a pass into it to the base and nobody else. Camera and microphone start off, and we keep nothing about a call. What goes where.
Why frosted glass
Because the door is not locked and the room is not a secret. From the hall you can see that the light is on, and from in here you can see the hall is there: the glass lets the light through and keeps the detail back. The directors’ names are on this page for anybody to read, and what they say to each other in here stays in here. Nothing in the room moves, at any setting.
Whose words
The room’s line is Ryan’s, from his brief for the Town Hall. Who the directors are, and their titles, are read off our About page on stimpunks.org, which is where to read about each of them. Abril Fatface is TypeTogether’s and IBM Plex Serif is Mike Abbink’s and Bold Monday’s, both under the SIL Open Font License; the room is ours. More in the liner notes.
Job marker — a key, left on the floor inside the door
You have found a job marker. The Adventurer’s Guild is a shopfront on the street, and it posts jobs that send you round these rooms. Take the code below to its board and that job is done. Nothing here is scored, nothing expires, and one is a perfectly good number of jobs to do.
The job: How the light gets in
Before the code: What does the light in the Directors' room come through?
Hint 1
There is no lamp in the room.
Hint 2
Look at the door in the drawing.
Last hint
It lets light through and keeps the detail back.
Give me the answer
The answer is Frosted glass. There is no lamp in the room: the only light is the hall's, through the frosted pane in the door, so it comes in soft and without an edge, and the name on the glass reads backwards from inside.
Taking the answer is a real way through this, not a lesser one. Nothing is watching and nothing is written down.
Quest code: FROSTED
That is the one.
