Your Room

There is a storefront on this street with nothing in it, and it is empty on purpose. It is not scenery and it is not “coming soon” — it is a room we are not going to decorate, because it is not ours to decorate.

THE OFFER, PLAINLY

One Disabled, Autistic, neurodivergent or otherwise stimpunk person gets a page on this street. You get:

What we keep

Four things, and they are the same four every room here already honours. They are not editorial control — nobody is going to tell you the room is too much.

What every room on this street keeps, and why none of it is negotiable
The ruleWhy it is not negotiable
The dial worksGentle mode has to turn your room down without taking any of it away. It is the promise the whole street makes at the front door.
Text clears 4.5:1Clashing is not the same as illegible. Be as ugly as you like; be readable while you do it.
Nothing autoplaysSound, video, motion: on press, never on arrival. No exceptions, including for a very good song.
Credit what you didn’t writeAttribution is a licence, not a house style. Quote anything; name whose it is.

What we are not going to do

Edit your room for tone. Ask you to be more positive, or more palatable, or more professional. Take it down because somebody complained that it was weird. If we would not say it to Enid, we are not saying it to you.

How to ask

Tell us what the room is. One paragraph is plenty — what it is for, who walks into it, and what it looks like when they do. There is no form and no application, and you do not need a portfolio or a reason to deserve it.

Reach us however is easiest: through the Stimpunks contact page, or in our community.

A note on what happens if it goes quiet

A room here does not expire and does not need maintaining. If you stop updating it, it stays up exactly as you left it, with your name on it. If you want it taken down, say so once and it comes down, no conversation required. A gift with conditions attached is not a gift.

HOW LOUD DO YOU WANT IT?

Starts wherever your device says. Nothing moves, flashes, or plays until you say so.

Job marker — the keys left in the door

You have found a job marker. The Adventurer’s Guild is a shopfront on the street, and it posts jobs that send you round these rooms. Take the code below to its board and that job is done. Nothing here is scored, nothing expires, and one is a perfectly good number of jobs to do.

The job: The keys are in the door

Quest code: KEYRING
