Join the CB
Somebody has invited you onto the CB, the street’s radio, where our community talks: on World, in every room, in calls and in the forums. Here you choose a username and a password of your own, and then you are on, on every page of the street. The CB guide · The house norms · What we keep.
Opening the joining desk…
What joining is
- An invite is a code a moderator made for you, or for a group you are in. Its link fills it in. Some are for one person and some for several, and each runs out after a while: if yours has, ask whoever gave it to you for another. Nothing records who joined with which invite.
- Your username is whatever you type, up to 24 characters, and it is yours: only your password signs on as it. Everybody on the CB sees it beside what you say. A moderator’s username takes the moderators’ password as well, and no invite.
- Your password is eight characters or more. A few words you will remember is fine. We keep it only scrambled, and cannot tell you what it is.
- Your recovery code is shown once, when you join. Keep it where you keep passwords: it is the way back in if you forget yours.
- An email address is optional. If you give one, it is used for one thing: sending you a reset code when you ask for one at the front desk. It is kept scrambled, shown to nobody but you, and goes when your username does. You can add, change or take it off later, under Account on the radio.
- Next time, sign on at the front desk, or on the bar in the corner of any page, with your username and your password.
HOW LOUD DO YOU WANT IT?
