How this poster is printed

What is on first is read off each room’s own page, every time the poster is printed: the first thing in there you can press, with its name and its running time exactly as that room prints them. When a room changes what it opens with, the poster changes with it. None of it is typed.
A whole list is called a whole list. Where a room puts on a playlist, the poster says so, and says what the room says about it: that it runs until you stop it, or that it starts somewhere random. Where the room’s own bill shows what the list opens on, the poster repeats that too. It does not guess at the rest, because the list is somebody’s and it keeps changing.
No headliner, and nothing is counted. Not the rooms, not the songs, not the hours. The poster belongs to all of these rooms at once, and none of them is bigger than the others on it.
The line under each name is ours. The names, the titles and the running times are the rooms’. The credits for everything on the bill are in the rooms themselves and in the liner notes.
Two inks and no black. Every word you read is printed in both, which is why it is the darkest thing on the sheet; the only other colour on it is where the two cross.
